The buyer should expect a handmade dial that features a pleasing black and white with blue, in a linear pattern. I used white skeletonized arrow head hands to expose as much of the pattern at once as possible, they have green lume that can illuminate some of the pattern at night. The case is an Ando A-1 in silver. This is a highly stylish asymmetrical case with a screwed down exhibition caseback. The watch is powered by an automatic mechanical movement with three hands and a day/date complication. The white day and date text are on a stealthy black field which makes it easy to read. I used a black leather strap with matching black clasp to complete the stealth look. This is an amazingly beautiful statement piece, conversation starter, an everyday piece and a rugged, accurate timepiece.
Detroit agate is made as paint builds up in the paint area of an automotive factory. It takes some highly specialized equipment and hours of my time to produce each dial. Every one of them is entirely unique. Very few Fordite watches feature a day/date complication. this is one of 3 day/date watches I have completed.
