“Chocolate Sundae” looks the part while not taking itself too seriously. This 39 mm stainless steel case adds hour markers to the rehaut for legibility while leaving the fordite swirls unobstructed. The splines between the hour markers add texture and an additional play of light to the scene. The presence of green luminous blue enameled syringe style hands make it easy to read the time. A matching chocolate brown leather strap finishes the look.
One of the few things more rare than monochrome fordite is brown on white fordite. This extremely rare material offers the intricate pattern and texture of fordite without the wild, bright colors. This fordite is from Kenworth truck production! Fordite or Detroit agate is made as paint builds up in the paint area of an automotive factory. It takes some highly specialized equipment and hours of time to produce each dial. Every one of them is entirely unique.
The watch is powered by a NH38 automatic winding movement. Wearing the watch on a daily basis will keep it running. Alternatively it can be manually wound using the screw down crown. The NH38 has a 41 hour power reserve, contains 24 jewels and runs at 21,600 bph.
